Since October 2024, Elisabeth Fritz has been Deputy Director at the German Center for Art History in Paris. After studying in Vienna and completing her PhD in Graz, she obtained her habilitation in Jena and was a visiting professor in Berlin. Her research focuses on art and visual culture from the eighteenth century to the present. She is particularly interested in the intersections between aesthetic and social questions.
