At the head of the DFK Paris, the management team represents the interests of the institute outside its walls. It sets the direction for research programs and makes decisions on the awarding of grants in close cooperation with the research departments and the Academic Advisory Council. 

The scientific coordinators support the administration in the drafting, planning, and execution of the research program. Along with their own research activities for doctoral or post-doctoral projects, they are involved in organizing conferences, workshops, reading seminars, study days, as well as evening lectures. They are also entrusted with coordinating the annual theme.
