Institute: Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Library: Monday, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.; Tuesday through Friday, 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.

 

Construction work at DFK Paris

Access to upper floors via lift recommended

Due to ongoing construction work in our building, access to the upper floors via the stairwell is temporarily restricted. We recommend that visitors use the lift whenever possible. Use of the stairwell is at your own risk.

Please note that accessibility may be temporarily restricted during the construction work. People with special needs are asked to notify reception in advance or upon arrival. Our staff will be happy to assist you.

About the history of the building

 

Getting to the DFK Paris

Hôtel Lully is located on the corner of Rue Sainte-Anne and Rue des Petits Champs. The main entrance is at 45 Rue des Petits Champs; the reception is on the main floor and the secretariat on the second floor. The following subway (métro) stations are located a few minutes from the German Center for Art History:

  • Line 1, station “Palais-Royal Musée du Louvre”
  • Line 3, station “Quatre Septembre” 
  • Line 7, station “Pyramides” 
  • Line 14, station “Pyramides”

 

Arriving by train

  • From Gare du Nord: line 4, direction “Porte d’Orléans” to “Les Halles” station; or RER B train, direction “Robinson / Saint-Rémy-lès-Chevreuse” to “Les Halles” station; or bus no. 39 to the National Library of France (Bibliothèque Nationale).
  • From Gare de l’Est: line 7, direction “Villejuif” or “Mairie d’Issy” to “Pyramides” station.
  • From Gare de Lyon: line 1, direction “La Défense” to “Palais Royal Musée du Louvre” station; or line 14, direction “Saint-Lazare” to “Pyramides”.
